Founder of Soul Talks Inc
Now in the autumn of my life, I’m reflecting on my life and have a heart full of thanks for family, friends, and those in the Soul Talks’ community.
An early teacher was Dr Elisabeth Kubler Ross who taught that death is merely a transition from this world to the next and not to be feared. Another early teacher was Florence Nightingale the founder of modern nursing and the most educated woman in the world for her time. Her message also was not to fear death.
What I learned from these women was enhanced by working closely for two decades with Emeritus Professor of Palliative Care at Flinders University, Ian Maddocks AM. Ian Maddocks was honoured to be Senior Australian of the year in 2013.
Dr Elisabeth Kubler-Ross said that her best teachers were those in her care. From three decades as a private palliative care nurse I agree!
With recognition that the soul is energy and energy is information in motion a view of the Afterlife becomes clearer. The near-death experience has been validated by many authors including Dr Cherie Sutherland the Australian author of Transformed by the Light – The Near-Death Experience and its After-Effects.
Most importantly I have learned that we all have a story to tell and in the telling we share insights and healings which have the potential to benefit others. May we all continue to share stories that resonate with the heart and the healing power of love.
This short video is how I seek to be remembered. It was filmed in 2010 at the Community Hospice in Sandakan East Malaysia. I have such wonderful memories of times shared at this centre.
